Bumper safety system with 360° machine access
The bumper safety technology allows direct access to the CNC machining centre without compromising work safety. Numerous sensors inside the padded bumpers record every touch and reliably protect operators in potentially dangerous situations through an immediate programme stop.
Portal design with gantry drive system
The dual side-driven portal (‘gantry’) design guarantees maximum precision and repeatability during machining operations. Rack and pinion drives in the X and Y directions ensures maximum traverse speeds for the shortest processing and tool-changing times.
Smart Zoning
Smart Zoning allows the quick processing of several panel formats including:

F4Integrate – Pioneering CNC software
F4Integrate is an advanced CNC software platform, which is designed for the highest demands. It includes a tool library, programming section and machine operator control panel within one consistent and intuitive interface.
Developed by FORMAT4 in cooperation with CNC customers, F4Integrate combines practical experience with modern CNC machining requirements. Tool management (F4Toolbox), programming (CAM area with integrated CAD section – F4Create) and machine operation control (F4Operate) are all integrated into a single screen.
Based on G-code, F4Integrate allows external industry programs to be easily connected and program transfer to be smoothly organised.
F4Nest – CNC nesting optimisation
The CNC cutting optimisation software F4Nest saves space, material and time by nesting furniture components and other milled parts in an efficient manner. The result is displayed in 3D format, allowing efficient cutting of panel material while reducing waste.
Moulder spindle
With a motor power of 9kW and speeds of up to 24,000rpm, the main motor is inverter-controlled and mounted directly on the Z axis. Dual linear guides guarantee highly precise vertical guidance, while ground ball screws position the motor. The HSK F63 tool clamping is fully automatic. Sensors verify correct tool clamping before operation begins, while the tool holder is pneumatically cleaned.
Automatic centralised lubrication unit
Grease is pneumatically delivered to lubrication points located on the X, Y and Z axes at controlled intervals specified in the machine control system. The integrated progressive distributor ensures consistent lubrication while preventing excessive grease build-up in the bearings.
Automatic tool length measuring system
Tool length is measured precisely and fully automatically on the machine. The measured value is stored and transferred directly to the F4Toolbox tool database. Cylindrical routing cutters up to Ø 80mm can be measured.
Drilling head
The DH8 drilling head features:
Eight vertical spindles
Stroke: 70mm
Maximum drill length: 70mm
Shaft diameter: 10mm
All spindles are motor-driven and can be used individually. Rotation speed is variably adjustable up to 6,000rpm. The drilling group covers the entire work area.
Maximum stability for precise nesting
The nesting machining centre features a solid, vibration-optimised machine frame. The electro-welded steel construction with specially designed ribbing ensures exceptional stability and minimises vibrations, even at high processing speeds.
This delivers consistently precise routing patterns, high process reliability and reproducible results – the foundation for powerful and durable nesting operations in industrial applications.
FELDER GROUP UK IN-HOUSE SHOW 2026: SPRING EDITION
Taking place from 12–14th March at the Milton Keynes showroom, the recently held Felder Group UK Spring In-House Exhibition was a big success and proved to be very popular with visitors and customers, who were invited to experience the future of woodworking – live.
Over three days, the Felder specialists very much enjoyed putting on a range of machinery demonstrations for interested parties, including those on CNC machines, panel saws, advanced woodworking as well as showcasing the ground-breaking Silent-Power® Cutterblock.
In addition to the numerous live demonstrations, visitors were also given the opportunity to try Mayer beam saws, sanders and edgebanders, among many others, not to mention receiving tailored advice from Felder specialists.
Another undeniable highlight for guests was the chance to take advantage of exclusive deals, which were available throughout the show’s duration.
