For more than half a century, Lambson Innovate has been at the forefront of British manufacturing, producing precision-engineered products for a diverse range of industries with expertise in bonded components, profiles and panels.

Lambson’s manufacturing processes inevitably generate airborne particulates, which the company carefully controls using a number of dust control (LEV) systems. To maintain the performance and compliance of these systems, Lambson partners with Dust Control Environmental Ltd (DCE) for testing and maintenance support.
Project requirements
With every product made to order, a variety of processes are involved in the manufacture of Lambson Innovate products. To provide sufficient extraction, the company operates 18 LEV units that control dust and fumes at source across production lines including the glue line, edge bander and engineering welding areas.
The dust collectors are in place not only to protect the health of team members, but also to ensure compliance with HSE and COSHH regulations.
Regulatory testing of these systems must be carried out by accredited engineers, with thorough reporting and documentation provided as part of the process.

For convenience and to ensure a seamless service, Lambson also required its LEV testing supplier to provide remedial work and ongoing maintenance support.
How DCE met the requirements
DCE’s P601-accredited engineer undertook testing of the 18 LEV systems over the course of three consecutive days. Comprehensive test results were then supplied to Lambson through the DCE OneHub document storage system.
A detailed action list was also provided, outlining any remedial work required to maintain LEV compliance. Following acceptance of the quotation, a DCE engineer will return to complete the necessary work.
Continued LEV support will also be provided to Lambson Innovate through the implementation of a DCE Total Care service and maintenance package.
The benefits
Engaging DCE for LEV testing and maintenance provides several benefits, including:
Assurance of regulatory compliance
Improved LEV efficiency and workforce protection
Minimal operational downtime
A convenient “one-stop shop” for remedial work, maintenance, spares and testing
24/7 access to the DCE OneHub report storage system
Evidence of a documented testing and maintenance regime
Access to a Total Care plan and DCE Loyalty Scheme
Client feedback

“We’ve worked with DCE for over 15 years, and throughout that time they’ve consistently delivered a reliable, professional and highly knowledgeable service. Their engineers understand our processes, our site and our compliance requirements, which makes LEV testing and maintenance straightforward and well managed.
“The quality of reporting, clear remedial guidance and the convenience of having everything handled by one trusted partner gives us real confidence that our systems remain both compliant and effective. DCE are a valued long-term partner to Lambson Innovate.”
