Leitz Tooling unveils innovative new products at LIGNA 2025

Leitz was excited to showcase a wide range of new tooling products at LIGNA 2025, including several innovative redesigns aimed at making their solutions even more economical for furniture manufacturers

WhisperCut PLUS

The Diamaster WhisperCut PLUS, Leitz’s flagship panel processing solution, has been redesigned to improve tool economy. A new 0.5mm resharpening area has been added to each knife, allowing blades to be sharpened up to 10 times, which significantly increases cost-efficiency. Combined with an enhanced tool body for reduced power consumption and better chip extraction, the WhisperCut PLUS is ideal for high-throughput panel processing, particularly in the furniture manufacturing sector.

Polycut saw blade

Leitz has also introduced advanced cutting solutions to address the growing use of thermoplastics in furniture production – materials that can be notoriously difficult to cut due to their tendency to soften and deform under heat. The new PolyCut saw blade has been developed as a versatile solution for thermoplastics.

Featuring optimised tooth geometry with variable tooth pitches tailored to different material thicknesses, the PolyCut reduces saw marks and edge chipping by an impressive 80% compared to conventional bevel-edged alternatives. Economical and durable, the saw blade can be sharpened up to 15 times with no loss in performance. This allows manufacturers to lower cycle times and costs by avoiding rework and post-processing.

Diamaster FixChip tools

Finally, Leitz has partnered with FixChip, a fast-growing connector system designed for seamless CNC integration. Together, they’ve developed Diamaster FixChip tools, ensuring a perfect fit when using FixChip connectors. Engineered for low cutting pressure, these tools enable chip-free machining across all wood-derived materials used in furniture construction.

Only two tools are required: a shank router for precise vertical grooves and a T-slot router for lateral grooves. Thanks to high-precision cutting edges, the system delivers excellent machining quality, which ensures tight, stable joints and precision-fit results.
