Makita has launched the CS004G 40V Max XGT 150mm Metal Cutter. Its high power output and wide constant-speed control range deliver improved cutting efficiency and smoother operation

Compact and lightweight, with a soft-grip handle, the tool’s ergonomic design helps reduce fatigue during extended use. An anti-restart function and electric brake, which stops the 32-tooth blade, further enhance user safety.

Compared with Makita’s 18V model, the new 40V Max Metal Cutter, powered by a brushless motor, provides 20% higher cutting efficiency when cutting 34mm-diameter carbon steel pipes. With a maximum cutting capacity of 57.5mm at a 0° bevel, the tool helps deliver accurate, consistent cuts. It also features Active Feedback Sensing Technology and a twin LED job light with pre- and post-glow functions to improve visibility.

The tool is also versatile. By fitting a suitable TCT saw blade and the optional dust cap, which allows connection to a dust extractor, users can adapt it to cut wood, plasterboard and other materials.

“Through high-quality engineering and attention to every design detail, the new 40V Max Metal Cutter provides trade professionals with everything needed from a reliable and powerful saw,” explained Kevin Brannigan, Marketing Manager at Makita. “The saw offers excellent portability, a soft start and comfortable operation, while enabling smooth cutting even under a heavy load.”

Available accessories include the B-69325 EFFICUT TCT Saw Blade (150 x 20mm, 30T) for metal cutting and the B-32194 MAKFORCE TCT Saw Blade (150 x 20mm, 24T) for wood cutting. A dust cap set and parallel guide are also available.
