Requiring high power output and long-lasting batteries, 1/2in collet-compatible cordless routers are still a relatively new option for woodworking professionals. What are the benefits of a cordless router?

The RP001G is ergonomically designed to enhance comfort and ease of use, weighing only 4kg with a 5.0Ah Li-ion battery fitted, and with a compact height of just 294mm.

The machine is also equipped with soft start and an electronic brake, which limits recoil to prevent damage, while its constant speed control reduces the chance of a drop in cutting speed, thus maintaining a clean finish. It features a 3-stage depth stop, so you can quickly switch between pre-set depths for greater efficiency. The simple adjustment system also allows users to alter the cutting depth in 1mm increments, which ensures precision and accuracy.

Finally, the RP001G utilises a brushless motor to increase runtime and performance, allowing users to work for extended periods without interruption.
