Trex, the world’s leading composite decking manufacturer, has announced Biscayne as its 2026 Colour of the Year.

A light coastal brown featuring honey hues and a natural grain pattern, Biscayne is the UK’s most requested colour and forms part of Trex’s Transcend® Lineage® collection.
The neutral shade sits perfectly between warm and cool tones and was selected for its ability to complement a wide range of palettes and design styles. Its balanced undertones allow the colour to shift with its surroundings and evolve alongside changing trends, season after season.
Kelsey Caracciolo, Creative Manager at Trex, said: “In 2026, design is leaning into thoughtful contrast. We’re seeking balance – warmth paired with restraint, organic textures set against clean architectural lines and minimalism without sterility. Biscayne embodies this balance.

“In a world that often feels fast and fragmented, the colour offers a steady presence that is calm, grounded and quietly expressive. Naming Biscayne our Colour of the Year reflects a belief that great design can be both inclusive and enduring.”
As with all shades in the Transcend Lineage range, Biscayne comes with a 50-year limited residential warranty and incorporates the brand’s innovative SunComfortable™ Technology. Redefining what performance looks like in the heat, SunComfortable™ is engineered to reduce heat absorption, helping to keep Trex deck surfaces cooler than ever before.
As the category leader in composite decking, Trex is dedicated to shaping the style direction of outdoor living for homeowners. Founded 30 years ago, the company pioneered composite decking and continues to create high-performance, low-maintenance boards made from 95% recycled and reclaimed materials.
