'Together, exploring a new era of woodworking innovation’ – this is the concept behind the SCM Open House, which takes place at SCM Headquarters in Rimini from 12–14 March 2026
A wide range of world premieres will highlight the shift towards connected, flexible and sustainable production models.
Driving the future of woodworking through the integration of advanced technologies, proactive services and digital innovation: this is the goal of the upcoming SCM Open House, which is scheduled for 12–14 March 2026 at SCM Headquarters in Rimini.

Across more than 4,000sq.m, visitors will be able to explore a comprehensive range of machines, automated systems, software and services designed to support the production of every component of the home – from furniture to timber construction, from surface treatment to flooring, and from wooden windows and doors to wood/aluminium solutions.
A series of innovations will immerse attendees in a new era of woodworking, where competitive advantage is no longer solely defined by a single machine or system, but by the ability to integrate technologies into connected, flexible and sustainable production models.
Fully embracing this vision, SCM reaffirms its role as a strategic partner for companies seeking global competitiveness in a rapidly evolving industry characterised by new materials, faster production cycles and increasing customisation.
The Open House will feature a rich programme of live technical demonstrations, guided tours of SCM’s Rimini production plants, live links with other Italian facilities, in addition to in-depth insights into the latest technological and market trends.
Alongside an expanded range of SCM products and services, particular interest will be drawn by strategic partnerships with the Group’s newest companies: Tecno Logica, focused on integrated systems and robotics, and Mecal Machinery, which specialises in aluminium, PVC and light-alloy processing.
Digital systems & services
The event will spotlight an Integrated Service Ecosystem designed to deliver more efficient production, greater operational control and continuous manufacturing uptime, thanks to technologies that transform machine-generated data into actionable intelligence.
At the core of this modular architecture is WinMES, SCM’s Manufacturing Execution System developed in partnership with Tecnest, a leading player in production planning and supply chain management software. WinMES acts as the true digital brain of the factory. By integrating and interpreting real-time data, it optimises production flows, accelerates decision-making and enhances overall plant reliability.
Factory intelligence is further strengthened by Smart Spindle, an advanced spindle sensor system that enables predictive analysis and helps to prevent unplanned downtime. To safeguard the entire ecosystem, SCM incorporates advanced cybersecurity solutions to protect data, processes and infrastructure.
From 2026, all new SCM machines will be equipped with Additional Care – a programme that provides comprehensive protection through extended spare parts warranty, technical support and a three-year maintenance plan. The result is a more stable, secure and performance-driven production environment, ready to meet customers’ business goals.

Automation & integrated machining cells
At the Rimini Headquarters, SCM will present an Integrated Sizing and Nesting Cell for Batch 1 production. Combining advanced automation, operational flexibility and reduced energy consumption, the cell consists of the following:
flexstore hp – an automatic storage system managing all panel formats, retrieving offcuts and organising sorting in advance, supporting logistics even during unmanned shifts for maximum efficiency and customised stock management.
gabbiani gt 2 single-blade panel saw – fed by the automatic storage system and an anthropomorphic robot, performing single or book cuts with high productivity. Maestro Stackwise software optimises panel arrangement, reducing waste and increasing yield.
morbidelli x200 nesting CNC machining centre – with integrated robot for automatic offloading into organised stacks and temporary parking, ensuring gentle, non-sliding handling and maximum flexibility from loading to finished piece.
Also on display will be stefani cell E – a compact, automated entry-level solution for Batch 1 production that transforms edgebanding of squared panels into an efficient, high-quality process. Ideal for small- and medium-sized businesses seeking high production performance.
A dedicated focus will be given to Tecno Logica solutions. As a key Group company, Tecno Logica is a benchmark in integrated systems and robotics, offering technologies engineered to support extremely high production capacities – even in highly diversified and complex scenarios – across sectors ranging from woodworking to automotive and broader industrial applications.
New CNC machining centres
For the accord range, designed for processing both solid wood and panels, two new models will be unveiled:
accord 400 – featuring the new flexmatic pro worktable with automatic positioning of pods and clamps. Available in preconfigured versions tailored to specific applications, it delivers highly customised solutions.
accord 500 edge– distinguished by H80C ‘Compact' edgebanding technology, enabling operations with multiple edge types and glues, allowing automatic changeover of edge application methods.
Also on display will be the morbidelli x50 nesting centre equipped with lifter integration, ensuring safe and rapid handling of laminate and chipboard panels.
Panel processing
In a world premiere at the Villa Verucchio production plant, SCM will present the new gabbiani af beam saw range. Key innovations include significantly reduced cycle times, advanced motorisation systems, a new saw blade carriage with power up to 27kW and optimised operating units that reduce energy consumption while maintaining high-precision cutting. Additional strengths include simplified maintenance and maximum operator safety.
In edgebanding, flexibility is the defining theme, showcased by solutions such as stefani m, a new edgebander equipped with servo-assisted operating units for precision and ease of use. The Multiedge system enables ultra-fast, error-free changeovers at the touch of a button, while advanced gluing technologies expand finishing possibilities for small- and medium-sized manufacturers.
Also featured is celaschi p20, the most compact automatic double-end tenoner in the range. Together with celaschi p30, it delivers high productivity and precision for the processing of wooden panels and alternative materials used in construction, insulation, doors and solid wood components. Whether standalone or integrated into a production line, flexibility is maximised. Process control is managed via the intuitive Maestro active square HMI.

Windows, doors and solid wood processing
For the first time, the windor nt1 angular machining centre will feature the new Optima BR drilling-routing unit, allowing all complementary machining operations, including horizontal milling, alongside the innovative Maestro active windoor software interface.
Also in the spotlight is superset nt, the automatic throughfeed moulder equipped with a new electronic control system, including the eye-S console with a 10in colour touchscreen display and Maestro active 4-side software, designed for profiling windows, doors, stairs, frames and furnishing components.
Timber construction
SCM will present – through an immersive digital experience – the new area gl, a 5-axis CNC machining centre engineered for high performance, precision and reliability in the processing of straight and curved glulam elements for public buildings, multi-storey constructions and infrastructure projects.
Key features include a working area of up to 5 × 50m and pendulum machining capability delivered by exclusive mobile fences. Programming and control are managed via CAM Maestro lab beam&wall and SCM’s Maestro active HMI.
Finishing solutions
The surface finishing area will focus on the growing trend for matt finishes in furniture. Superfici will unveil Supermatt, a new physical matting system capable of delivering ultra-low-gloss finishes with a velvety tactile effect and outstanding durability.
Simple, high-performing and accessible, the system ensures reduced operating costs and easy integration into existing lines with limited investment. Compatible with roller, curtain coater and spray applications, Supermatt expands aesthetic possibilities while increasing production flexibility.
Joinery machines
Visitors will explore nova si 4, the most versatile circular saw in its category, featuring a new highly reliable sliding carriage – guaranteed for 10 years – and extensive customisation options.
Also on display is L’invincibile si 3bo, equipped with the innovative blade off safety system, which minimises intrinsic risks through intelligent detection and efficient blade exclusion.
Aluminium machining
Making its debut at the Technology Center in Rimini is the MC 307 Falcon by Mecal Machinery. This 4-axis machining centre for aluminium, PVC and steel profiles delivers high precision and productivity. The fastest in its class – up to 150m/min – it offers exceptional flexibility for fenestration applications and furniture components such as kitchens, wardrobes and office partitions.
