A UK furniture manufacturer recently purchased a wood waste heater from Wood Waste Technology in order to save money on its heating and waste disposal costs.
SylvanWorks specialises in bespoke furniture and joinery. When the company moved into its current 16,000sq.ft modern industrial unit, there was no heating in the premises. At this point, company Director Gareth Langdon realised that investing in a wood waste heater would provide free heating while also reducing waste disposal costs.
Gareth liked the idea of being able to recycle wood offcuts into energy, rather than disposing of them into skips destined for landfill. There was also the added benefit of the wood waste heater providing free heating to the workshop, so the business could stop using gas heaters during the cold months, which were expensive to run.
After speaking with Kurt Cockroft at Wood Waste Technology, Gareth ordered a WT15 heater, which was installed by Wood Waste Technology’s team of experienced engineers. Gareth says: “I’m delighted with the wood waste heater from Wood Waste Technology. It provides precisely the benefits advertised and
works so well. Whoever’s first to arrive in the morning gets the fire going, then the workspace heats up really quickly. For any company that produces wood waste, I’d recommend looking at investing in one. For us, it’s provided the best return on investment from any piece of equipment previously purchased. All staff are happy with the WT15; it keeps us all warm and saves a great deal of money.”
MD of Wood Waste Technology, Kurt Cockroft, comments: “We’re so pleased that SylvanWorks is saving money on its heating and waste disposal costs thanks to the wood waste heater. It’s a hugely worthwhile investment, as some companies can experience payback on their purchase in under 12 months.”
Wood Waste Technology’s years of expertise in wood waste solutions have helped many companies reduce their waste disposal and heating costs. As well as offering site survey, design, manufacture, installation and ongoing maintenance for new units, the company also services all types of wood waste heaters and supplies genuine spares up to 60% cheaper than competitors. In addition, Wood Waste Technology is the UK official distributor for Gross Apparatebau GmbH, a German manufacturer of dependable, precision-engineered shredders and briquetters, available in various sizes and specifications to suit all business applications.
