Triton set to return to UK shelves with a new direction
Triton Tools is preparing for its return to the UK retail market, with a refreshed range of products expected to begin arriving with UK retailers and online stores from November

Under the ownership of Australian woodworking specialist Timbecon, and with TradeSafe Products Ltd as its exclusive UK distributor, Triton is returning with a renewed sense of purpose.
For a brand that’s spent 50 years building a reputation for innovative woodworking machinery, the focus is firmly back on the things that made Triton a favourite among woodworkers: useful innovation, distinctive features, quality and the maker.
A more focused Triton
Under Timbecon’s ownership, Triton is taking a new global direction. To bring the brand back to its roots, the focus has shifted towards developing a more deliberate range, re-prioritising the engineering, innovation and workshop solutions that originally built such a strong and respected reputation.
This means that each product is being reviewed for the specific value it brings to a workshop, with a fresh focus on delivering the right combination of quality, features and competitive pricing. While this re-focus is taking place worldwide, Triton’s imminent return to UK shelves
after nearly a year’s absence will give UK woodworkers their first opportunity to see this new direction reflected in the range.
Investment following the acquisition is already producing new products, several of which are scheduled to arrive in the UK before the end of 2026.
Leading the new range are the TPT318 thickness planer – successor to the popular TPT125 – and the TSPST500, a feature-rich tilting-top oscillating spindle and belt sander, which replaces the TSPST450.
These will be joined by the TSPSM450, a new dedicated bench-top spindle sander, which replaces the long-standing TSPS450, along with a refined and improved whetstone sharpener – the TWSS8.

A familiar face returns
The UK relaunch is also bringing a familiar face back to the brand. Mark Pearson has joined TradeSafe Products as Head of Brand Marketing, returning to Triton after previously serving as its Global Brand Manager from late 2018 to early 2023.
During that time, Mark led an overhaul of Triton’s global brand identity and marketing strategy, helping to strengthen the brand’s international presence and grow engagement with the woodworking community worldwide.
His return provides continuity at a time of significant change and, with Timbecon backing the brand, Mark sees an opportunity to continue that work.
“Being back feels very natural,” he comments. “There’s an incredible amount of affection for Triton within the woodworking community, and I believe there’s still enormous potential.
“I’m excited to help get the focus back where it belongs – on the maker, the workshop and the products themselves. With Timbecon’s support and investment in Triton, there’s a great opportunity to build on what came before, but with a much stronger foundation for the future.”
Timbecon Managing Director, Hague Haswell, welcomed Mark’s appointment, saying his experience would be valuable to the company’s plans for the brand: “Mark understands Triton and, most importantly, the woodworking community. We’re delighted to have him back helping to shape the brand’s future in the UK.”

The UK return
TradeSafe Products is now preparing to bring the refreshed Triton range to authorised dealers across the UK, with the first stock expected to arrive in the coming months and retail availability anticipated from November.
Further products will follow as the range continues to develop under Timbecon’s ownership, with additional launches planned into 2027.
For UK woodworkers, the wait is nearly over. A familiar name is returning to workshops, backed by renewed investment and a clear direction for the future. In short, Triton is coming home.
