Create. Transform. Build Tomorrow was Felder Group’s motto at the recently held LIGNA 2025. With more than 80 machines on show – from the latest developments in automation to new classical machines for every type of workshop – there was something for every woodworker

Whether it’s planing, sawing or milling, the Felder machine range offers everything from a single source – the perfect solution for every woodworking need. Precise, reliable and the right machine for every requirement.
Felder Group UK Chief Executive, Matthew Applegarth, commented: “LIGNA 2025 proved to be our most successful exhibition to date in terms of visitors from the UK and Ireland. Our stand was amazing and perfectly showcased how the Felder Group has progressed in recent years to become a dominant force in the woodworking industry.
“I was particularly proud to demonstrate our latest automation solutions, including the new C-Motion storage system and robotic offloading of CNC machines, which generated a great deal of interest. Another personal highlight was the introduction of our PCS® – Preventative Contact System within the Felder 700 and 740 series of sliding table saws. This now brings the highest level of saw safety to every workshop and every budget, with the K740 PCS® starting from as little as £14,000.”

Felder K740 PCS®

The PCS® – Preventative Contact System has been available for over three years in the Format4 Kappa 450 and Kappa 550 panel saws. In 2024, Felder Group incorporated this technology into the Felder K945S panel saw, offering the highest level of safety in this series
of machines.
PCS® detects organic matter – such as a hand – and causes the saw blade to retract under the cast-iron table within milliseconds. There’s no need for expensive, complicated camera systems, meaning small parts can still be processed with ease. Importantly, the system resets within 10 seconds, allowing users to resume work immediately.
Now, with the introduction of PCS® into the K700 range, this technology is now accessible to every workshop and allows every user to achieve the maximum level of safety. The K740 sliding table saw with x-motion control, in a new design, can achieve a cutting height of 140mm using a 400mm blade, and is now available with PCS® starting at just £14,000 + VAT. With a wide range of specification options, every workshop can benefit from premium saw safety, on a machine tailored to their needs.
Format4 Automation
Building on its success in automated solutions, the Felder Group introduced its newest storage system, C-Motion Dynamics, which was showcased at LIGNA, feeding both the Mayer KA100 beamsaw and the H100 CNC machining centre.
Offering full CNC control, a material stacking height of up to 2,600mm – from a minimum height of 410mm – and innovative real-time software, the C-Motion Dynamics system was a major highlight for visitors. The H100 CNC machine was offloaded using Robot Motion, demonstrating Felder Group’s expertise and future-forward capabilities in automation.
Format4 953 Finebrush

Brand-new to the market, the Finebrush 953 attracted a great deal of attention by offering high-end sanding solutions at an affordable price. Say goodbye to time-consuming and costly manual sanding of panelled doors, profiles, frames and textured wooden surfaces.
Depending on the model, the Finebrush 953 features either three or five brush units – sanding brushes, disc brushes and cleaning brushes – delivering excellent finishes for coarse, fine, finish and intermediate lacquer sanding. Each sanding unit is equipped with two different grits, eliminating the need for time-wasting grit changes. This is high-efficiency sanding for professionals in craft, trade and industry.
