Makita has expanded its advanced cordless range with the introduction of two new high-performance combo kits: the DLX3193TJ and DLX4195JX1. Designed to deliver greater productivity and value for trade professionals, both sets combine Makita’s industry-leading LXT 18V technology with a selection of powerful tools, supplied in convenient carry cases. Offering versatility, reliability and extended runtimes, these kits provide an efficient solution for users looking to expand their tool arsenal.

Makita DLX3193TJ 18V three-piece cordless kit

The Makita DLX3193TJ 18V three-piece cordless kit is designed for tradespeople requiring reliable performance across trimming, planing and drilling applications. Supplied in a Makpac Type 4 carry case, the kit includes two BL1850B 5.0Ah lithium-ion batteries and a DC18RC rapid charger, along with three high-performance tools, starting with the DHP490 combi drill.

Ideal for demanding drilling and fastening tasks, the combi drill features a powerful brushless motor, delivering up to 65Nm of torque while maintaining a compact design. It also offers variable speed control for precise operation.

Also included is the DKP181 planer, which features an 82mm planing width and up to 3mm cutting depth, both easily adjustable, as well as an electric brake for enhanced productivity and operator safety. Completing the kit is the DRT50 router trimmer, which offers adjustable speed control from 10,000 to 30,000rpm and a soft-start function for improved accuracy.

The DLX4195JX1 18V LXT four-piece combo kit includes three 5.0Ah batteries, a fast charger, two Makpac stacking cases for easy portability, and four high-performance brushless tools.

The kit features the DHP489 combi drill, which delivers excellent drilling capacity, capable of driving a 1in ship auger bit through two pieces of timber in high-speed mode. It also includes a robust keyless chuck with a single metal sleeve and a metal gear housing for added durability.

Also included is the DTD173 impact driver, equipped with an electronic four-stage impact power selector for versatile performance and ease of use. Its slim, well-balanced design enhances user comfort.

The DGA504 angle grinder maintains constant speed under load, automatically adjusting cutting speed according to conditions to ensure optimum performance. Finally, the DHR243 rotary hammer offers three operating modes – hammering, rotation and hammer rotation – and features a unique joint construction that suppresses vibration transmission, helping to protect battery terminals.

Kevin Brannigan, Marketing Manager at Makita UK, commented: “We are pleased to announce the addition of our two new combo kits to the range. As both kits include 5.0Ah LXT batteries, each tool delivers extended runtimes, making them ideal for high-load applications.”
