Mirka UK launches Iridium™ Soft for high-performance fine sanding

Mirka UK is launching Iridium™ Soft, marking a new era in sanding technology. This flexible film abrasive, backed by soft foam, is designed for dry use and optimised for high-performance fine sanding – by hand or machine. Its construction balances flexibility, precision and efficiency.

Iridium™ Soft is ideal for sanding high gloss finishes on painted surfaces. The abrasive features a three-part Multifit® hole configuration, built with a polyurethane layer on a flexible foam base and durable aluminium oxide grains. This design closely follows surface contours, enabling precise sanding, strong cutting performance and even results. The product delivers enhanced control, long-lasting durability and a superior finish, which ensures both an excellent user experience and outstanding results.

Dry sanding offers several advantages: it’s faster, cleaner and more energy efficient. Used with a mobile dust extraction unit, this sanding method helps to create a dust-free environment while reducing mess and energy costs.
