New MAKTRAK™ system tool storage system from Makita

Makita’s newly launched MAKTRAK™ system provides a tough, secure and flexible modular storage solution for a wide range of Makita tools and equipment. Built to meet the needs of trade professionals on site, each storage box can be opened without unstacking the system, which keeps tools protected, transported and organised with ease.

At the heart of the MAKTRAK™ system is the unique Rolling Tool Chest. Its horizontal layout even accommodates long tools, while the dual-hinged removable lid ensures full and easy access from both sides – ideal for tight spaces or when accessing tools from the back of a van. The large latches are also designed so they’re easy to open, even while wearing safety gloves.

Trade professionals will value the flexibility of the track-mounted, modular system, which allows MAKTRAK™ boxes to be securely attached to one another for safe stacking and transportation.

The system offers seven different components: four toolboxes – the Large Toolbox, Extra-large Extension Toolbox (which both feature the dual-hinged lid), Medium Toolbox and the Rolling Tool Chest – plus three organiser boxes: the Deep Medium Organiser, Low Profile Organiser and Deep Compact Organiser. This versatility means the MAKTRAK™ system can be tailored to each user’s needs, storing everything from the largest tools to the smallest parts, fittings and fasteners.

Loading and unloading the system from a van is made easier thanks to the Rolling Tool Chest’s retractable handle, non-slip Gecko Grips and rear support handle, which provides extra leverage during lifting.

With an impressive 82-litre capacity and a 113kg load rating, the Rolling Tool Chest also features rugged 9in  all-terrain wheels, reducing strain when moving across rough or uneven ground. For added security, each box and organiser includes reinforced metal padlock eyelets and a hidden security tracker slot, giving users multiple security options. Gasket-sealed lids also keep tools protected from dust, dirt and water ingress.
