Perfectly timed to mark FORMAT4’s 25th anniversary, the Felder Group presents a new CNC machining centre that sets the highest standards in carcass processing
With its premium brand FORMAT4, Felder Group is once again pushing the boundaries of woodworking technology with the introduction of its creator 1250. Succeeding the proven creator 950, this new machine represents not just an evolution but a revolution – elevating efficiency, precision and flexibility to an entirely new level.

Compact power meets infinite possibilities
The creator 1250 proves that outstanding performance doesn’t require a large footprint. Thanks to innovative space management, the machine is capable of complete and complex carcass processing in under 8m². With a standard workpiece length of 2,800mm – optionally extendable to virtually unlimited length – and an impressive processing width of up to 1,250mm, there’s now no limits to modern interior design projects. Even the production of wide interior doors is easily achievable.
Precision & efficiency in every detail
At the heart of this new CNC machining centre lies a massive welded machine frame, providing a vibration-optimised foundation for exceptional precision. Driven by a powerful 9kW milling spindle – optionally 12kW – the creator 1250 handles even the most demanding machining tasks with ease.
Increasing efficiency was a key focus during its development. The proven horizontal workpiece transport system ensures maximum process reliability and ergonomic operation. An intelligent pneumatic system automatically adapts to component thickness, drastically reducing processing times and energy consumption. A special highlight is the optionally extended X-axis, which minimises reclamping cycles and significantly increases machining quality
for long components.
Innovative features for maximum flexibility
The creator 1250 is engineered for versatility and productivity, featuring the following:
Expanded tool changer: Up to 16 tool positions, including four for aggregates and a C-axis, which reduces setup times to a minimum.
Enhanced workpiece measurement: A new fork light sensor reliably detects a wide range of colours, surfaces and edge geometries for optimal precision.
Versatile drilling heads: In addition to proven models, a drilling head with interfaces for Lamello Clam-XP tools is now available.
Integrated dowel unit: Optional fully automatic insertion of 8mm dowels increases automation and process reliability.
The decisive advantage over console CNC machines
Compared with traditional console systems, the creator 1250 offers clear advantages: it requires significantly less space, eliminates the time-consuming manual positioning of vacuum pods and delivers a higher degree of automation through features such as automatic dowel insertion. Meanwhile, the gentle workpiece transport on plastic rollers ensures damage-free processing of even the most sensitive surfaces.
By investing in the new FORMAT creator 1250 CNC machining centre, woodworking companies can transform their production processes in addition to gaining a decisive competitive edge.
