Wes Kangurs, who joined estate cabinetry specialist Guild Anderson in January 2025, has been appointed as the company’s new Managing Director. Guild Anderson’s founder and outgoing MD, Nick Anderson, will now focus on creative output, becoming its first dedicated Creative Director.

Wes joined Guild Anderson from David Salisbury, where he served as Managing Director for six years. Initially tasked with bringing stability to the business following a period of rapid growth, he’s since focused on improving operational efficiency as the company continues to expand.
Alongside Wes’ appointment, Andrew Petherick has been promoted to the Guild Anderson board. Andrew, who joined the company in 2022 from luxury kitchen maker Artichoke, will continue in his role as Business Development Director.

“I founded Guild Anderson with my wife, Hannah, 23 years ago, and like many makers, we started in a shed with a dream and some tools,” Nick said. “Today, we’re a team of nearly 40 people, with year-on-year growth of 24% to March this year. My bandwidth is only so wide, and I’m excited to be handing over the Managing Director reins to Wes, who’s proven himself to be a calm and clear-thinking leader since joining us.”
“It’s a great honour to take over from Nick as Managing Director,” Wes commented. “We’re building a clear brand proposition and an efficient manufacturing base, while servicing the demanding top end of the market with a bespoke offering that’s quite different from high-volume, high-street operators. We have the right team in place, a robust enquiry book and the drive needed to grow at a comfortable pace.”
