Dresser Mouldings recently rebranded to Latham Timber Manufacturing, bringing a refreshed proposition, an upgraded plan along with a new, cutting-edge cladding visualiser.

James Latham, the UK’s leading independent distributor of timber, panels, and decors, has rebranded its Rochdale-based subsidiary Dresser Mouldings (Dresser) to Latham Timber Manufacturing (LTM). This rebranding reflects a refreshed proposition, cutting-edge technological upgrades, and the launch of an advanced cladding visualisation tool, positioning the company at the forefront of timber innovation.
A strategic move for unified branding
This milestone aligns with the James Latham Group’s strategy to integrate all subsidiaries under a cohesive brand identity, creating a unified offering across the distribution services supply chain. James Latham acquired Dresser in 2019 to meet the rising demand for machined mouldings and cladding. Since then, the business has built on its reputation for quality, creativity, and consistency, catering to high-profile clients across diverse sectors with decorative and finishing solutions.
From bespoke carving and intricate cornicing to award-winning cladding products and ultra-sustainable curtain wall systems, the newly branded LTM continues to deliver best-in-class services with an added advantage of significant investment in state-of-the-art machinery.
David Johnson, General Manager at LTM, highlights the value of this transformation: “Since joining the James Latham family, we’ve received incredible support to enhance our capabilities and ambitions. Their deep-rooted expertise in timber ensures they understand our challenges while helping us seize emerging opportunities. Together, we are evolving to maintain our appeal and expand into both existing and new markets.”
Innovation in digital tools – the Cladding Visualiser
Marking this new chapter, James Latham has unveiled a cutting-edge Cladding Visualiser, an online tool designed to revolutionise the customer experience. Building on the success of its award-winning Digital Showroom, the visualiser enables architects, designers, and contractors to see how cladding materials from LTM’s portfolio will look on various building types and under different lighting conditions before specification.
Developed in partnership with Cyon Agency, the platform offers unparalleled realism by featuring high-definition photographic renders of actual materials. Users can experiment with a wide range of tones, textures, and colours while saving their concepts, ordering samples, and arranging consultations with LTM experts.
Andy Duffin, Timber Director at James Latham, explains: “The Cladding Visualiser is a perfect showcase of LTM’s services. It reflects our dedication to listening to our customers and providing tools that empower them to make informed decisions. As we expand our presence in the facades market, this innovative platform strengthens our ability to compete sustainably and ethically.”

Elevating operations without compromise
Significant investments in LTM’s manufacturing facilities have equipped the division with cutting-edge machinery, enhancing capabilities while preserving the finesse customers expect. The upgraded plant is designed to deliver greater efficiency, innovation, and consistency without compromising quality.
Continuity with a new identity
Dresser Mouldings will operate as Latham Timber Manufacturing, led by David Johnson, reporting to Andy Duffin at James Latham Group. Day-to-day operations and personnel remain unchanged, ensuring seamless continuity for clients.
