SCM at LIGNA 2025 – integrated solutions for maximum performance

At the upcoming LIGNA 2025 trade fair, which takes place from 26–30 May, on all of SCM Group booths – Hall 13, Stand C56; Hall 16, Stand D05; Hall 13, Stand C46 – visitors will have the opportunity to explore an ecosystem of integrated solutions, which combine cutting-edge technology, innovation and tailored services, helping companies to achieve increasingly ambitious goals.

2025 sees LIGNA celebrating its 50th anniversary, and during the event, SCM will reaffirm its global leadership within the woodworking sector, showcasing how state-of-the-art technology, expert consultancy and digital innovation can turn challenges into growth opportunities.

 

From bespoke technical support to proactive maintenance, SCM supports customers at every stage of the production process, anticipating needs and adapting services to industrial priorities. The goal is to maximise machine efficiency, enhance product quality and reduce operational costs, thus allowing businesses to focus on growth. On all of SCM’s stands and booths at LIGNA, the machines and systems aim to represent the latest advancements in woodworking technology. From 2025, all new SCM machines will include the advanced ‘Additional Care’ service program, which aligns with the company’s servitisation strategy to ensure greater efficiency, reliability and longevity.

TECHNOLOGY HIGHLIGHTS – NEW INNOVATIONS ON THE SCM STAND IN HALL 13

 

Integrated Cell System for the furniture industry 

SCM’s showcased solution integrates a flexible beam saw, edgebanding cell and drilling cell, which offers the benefits of automation, flexibility and high-quality production. This system, capable of processing up to 1,200 furniture components per shift, combines robust and reliable machinery with automated storage, robotic handling and advanced software.

 

•  Cutting Stage – The ‘gabbiani a2’ angular panel sizing machine, equipped with automatic sequencing of longitudinal and transverse cuts, ensures maximum flexibility for batch-1 and large-scale production. It operates with the ‘flexstore hp’ automatic storage system for just-in-time material management.

 

• Edgebanding – The ‘stefani cell E’ with an industrial stefani s edgebander ensures high productivity, machining quality and seamless automation.

 

• Drilling Stage – The new ‘morbidelli fx100’ allows batch-1 drilling, dowelling and milling with unmatched flexibility and precision.

 

SCM will also present multimedia showcases of automated processes across various woodworking sectors, including furniture, windows, doors, flooring, construction and surface treatment. The exhibit will highlight multi-material capabilities through integration with CMS solutions, with SCM technologies specialising in glass, marble, metal, plastic and composite machining.

CNC machining centres & panel processing solutions

 

•  ‘morbidelli x50’ CNC nesting machine, featuring the new PRO-SPACE version, an exclusive SMS – Spoilboard Management System – and patented spoilboard panel, which reduces material consumption by 90%.

 

• ‘accord 500’ CNC machining centre – ideal for furniture and solid wood applications – and introducing the Optizone patented system along with SVP – Single Vacuum Pods – function for enhanced flexibility.

 

• ‘gabbiani pt95’ beam saw – optimised for batch-1 and mass production with Flexcut technology, powerful motors and guided positioning systems.

 

• ‘stefani m’ edgebander – offering fully automated setup and highly configurable industrial performance.

 

Timber construction – new ‘oikos xs 650’ CNC machining centre

Making its international debut, the ‘oikos xs 650’ expands SCM’s timber construction range and is capable of processing beams up to 650 × 310mm. It features the updated ‘Maestro lab beam&wall’ software for enhanced programming and performance.

Surface treatment – SCM & Superfici Innovations in Hall 16

SCM and Superfici, the Group’s finishing specialist, will present an extensive line-up of solutions for sanding, pressing and painting. Key innovations include:

 

• ‘dmc system t’ sanding-calibrating machine with an exclusive CO₂ laser unit for 3D scorings on various materials.

 

• ‘maestro’ painting robot, which now features an even more advanced number of software functions.

 

• ‘valtorta f1’ roller coating machine, which expands its capabilities for complex surfaces.

 

• UV LED Matrix polymerisation system – providing eco-friendly, high-performance paint curing.
